My personal learning theory :
Instructional design through a “Piaget-like” hierarchy.
Babies learn constructively
(because the have to)
Toddlers become humane through conditioning.
Preschoolers learn by a “natural process of development”
(because they do…not because Kohler or Vygotsky said so).
Early K-12 learning requires the acquisition of a working knowledge
of several sets of rote facts….greatly facilitated by the application of
Preparation of real life requires learning to apply concepts and
construct new solutions.
Therefore, how I teach is dictated by whom I am teaching what and
when and where.
